Coming Soon: The Fetish Study!

What I plan to do with the next several posts on this blog is explore the world of human sexuality. I will write several posts about different fetishes/paraphilias. These will be fetishes that are engaged in by consenting adults, and that don’t hurt anyone, S&M being an exception.  I will be looking at these fetishes like a scientist, I will not judge people as long as all parties are consenting adults, and I will do my best to keep these post from becoming pornographic.  I will be using medical terminology and will not feature nudity in the pictures, not because I object to nudity but because you can reach a larger audience that way.

It seems like truth, justice, and the American way were a lot kinkier than we ever knew.

Since the fetishes that I will be looking at are harmless ones (mostly), I will not be writing about predatory paraphilias such as pedophilia and bestiality.

Some of the fetishes that I am already researching include, furries, balloon fetishes, sexual attraction to robots, and many others.

Class is in session

If you want to learn about a particular fetish, leave me a comment. Just keep in mind, I want to look at these as an independent third party with no judgments, so nothing involving rape, mutilation, or people who can’t consent. I may make exceptions if these things are part of consenting role-play.

Also, if you have a fetish you want me to write about, please try to link me to a forum or online community where I could ask questions and learn about the community since I don’t want to offend people by misrepresenting them.

That being said, sit back, have a beer, and prepare to learn about the wide world of human sexuality.

Just for Fun

Did you know that protons have mass? I didn’t even know they were catholic!

A proton and a neutron walk into a bar.  The neutron asks the bartender “how much for a beer?” The bartender looks at him and says, “for you. No charge!”

Why was Heisenberg so bad at having sex?  When he had the position, he had no momentum and when he had the momentum, he didn’t have the position!

What’s the chemical formula for ice?  It’s H2O cubed.

Two atoms walk out of a bar.  One atom turn to the other and says, “I think I just lost an electron.” The other asks, “are you sure?” To which the first atom says, “yes, I’m positive.”

Is there any miracle to be found in miracle mineral solution?

Well, there is a short answer and a long answer.  The short answer is no.  There are no health benefits, miraculous or otherwise to be found in Miracle Mineral Solution.  Now, in traditional Great Ape fashion, I will tell you about the latest medical scam that I have learned about.  This is the long version for those of you who are still reading.

Miracle Mineral Solution, or MMS for short, is a substance sold by Jim Humble.  He claims that this product can cure AIDS, all forms of hepatitis, cancer, and a wide variety of other ailments.  But what is MMS exactly?

Miracle Mineral Solution. It has no minerals. It has no miracles. But, it is a solution.

MMS is a solution of sodium chlorite that a person is supposed to put in their drinking water with a few drops of vinegar.  It is supposed to be absorbed by the body and damage any and all pathogens without harming the healthy tissue.  Now there are a few problems with these claims.  First, there are no minerals in this solution.  Second, sodium chlorite is bleach.  Third, there is no such thing as a substance that is capable of killing pathogens that does not do some level of damage to any living tissue.

So why is MMS so bad for you?  Well to put it bluntly, MMS is industrial strength bleach.  Sodium chlorite is used in textiles, lumber, paper production, and cleansing solutions.  Now you may have the same question that I did when learning about this product; why would anyone think that this stuff is safe to drink?

Sodium chlorite is used in water purification.  This use is very different than the use when it is sold as MMS however.  In profesional water purification, the sodium chlorite is added in small amounts while being exposed to UV light.  The UV light causes sodium chlorite to degrade rapidly so that it is not in the water anymore when it is distributed.

So what are the dangers of drinking water with MMS added to it.  Well, MMS is just bleach.  Bleach is a powerful oxidizer, which means that it destroys the molecules of tissues in order to become more stable at the molecular level.  This means that MMS degrades the tissues of the mouth, throat, stomach, and intestines.

In the words of Tyler Durton, “this is a chemical burn.”

The dangers of ingesting MMS go beyond the degradation of bodily tissues in the GI tract.  MMS can coagulate bodily fluids and destroy red blood cells, which in turn can lead to a wide host of medical problems.

So remember, MMS is just one more fraud that preys on the desperation of people with severe illnesses.  If you use it, please stop for your own health.  If you know someone who uses it, please try to help them stop.  And remember, this stuff is just bleach.

It is never the victim’s fault. Why this Arizona judge needs to step down.

I’m just too disturbed by this story to really say anything. I’m simply going to copy the story and provide a link to the petition to do something about it. Thank you to anyone who supports this movement.

“Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Robb Gary Evans was found guilty of sexual abuse on July 2, 2012 by a jury of his peers. The highway patrolman put his hand up the skirt of a bar patron and fondled her genitals after drinking 8 beers and driving to the bars. Upon sentencing Mr. Evans received no jail time and was not even required to register as a sex offender. He walked out of the courtroom with 2 years probation. Upon sentencing Judge Jacqueline Hatch of the Coconino County Superior Court stated to the victim, “If you wouldn’t have been there that night, none of this would have happened.” She advised the victim to be more vigilant, “ You learned a lesson about friendship and a lesson about vulnerability.” This injustice cannot be tolerated, and without collective action of the people, these incidents will only continue.”

The Dangers of Colloidal Silver

So to continue on a theme that I seem to be developing on this blog; I will be writing about the “medical use” of colloidal silver.

So what is colloidal silver?  Colloidal silver is a solution of silver molecules and water.  It is created through electrolysis.  A kit is used to run an electric current through a piece of silver that is suspended in water.  This causes a reaction in the silver, which causes microscopic pieces of the silver to break free from the main piece and become suspended in the water.

The two wires in the glass are made of silver and the current runs through them to produce the colloidal solution

Now the next question is, “what is colloidal silver supposed to do?”  Well, people claim that this stuff can do just about anything.  There are claims that colloidal silver can cure anything from cancer, AIDS, respiratory illness, and simple infections.  I do feel obligated to point out that colloidal silver has been shown to kill infectious bacteria and viruses in laboratory settings.  However, this does not mean that the substance is safe for consumption.  Arsenic has been shown to kill infectious bacteria and viruses in laboratory settings, but it is a deadly poison.

So why do people believe that colloidal silver is a safe alternative to “traditional” medication.  Well, silver has been used as an antibiotic for quite some time.  However, silver has recently been categorized as a Heavy Metal; as in heavy metal poisoning.  This is why the medical use of silver has become highly regulated in the modern medical profession, if it is used at all.

So what is the harm in using colloidal silver?  Well, there are a few dangers.  The most obvious to users of the solution is a condition known as argyria.  Argyria is a condition of the skin where silver accumulates in the skin and becomes reactive to sunlight, resulting in a grey/blue coloration of the skin.

This is what argyria looks like in extreme cases

While argyria is considered a cosmetic condition, it is a symptom of greater medical dangers.  Argyria is caused by buildups of silver in the skin.  Silver builds up in the skin because the human body does not utilize silver in any metabolic process.  This causes silver to collect in the tissues of the body.  This includes the skin, eyes, kidneys, liver, lungs, and nerves.  These buildups of heavy metal interfere with the normal function of the tissues and organs of the body.  This can eventually lead to renal failure, liver damage, and neurological disorders.

I strongly advise against the use of colloidal silver.  The benefits are anecdotal at best, and the side effects are not worth any theoretical benefits.  If you are using colloidal silver, I suggest that you stop.  If you are considering using colloidal silver, I recommend that you don’t.  If you know people who use colloidal silver, do your best to convince them that it is not helping them.

As a side note, I learned that there is a group of people who advocate the use of colloidal silver on pets.  This is just too much for me.  If an adult wishes to do something to their body that can harm them, that’s their right.  But to harm defenseless animals with uninformed pseudo science;  that is a line that I have drawn in the sand.  It is animal cruelty and I do not support it.  If you use colloidal silver on your pets, STOP!

Don’t drag inocent animals into your uninformed world view. They didn’t do anything to you.
